Halloween
Well - I hadn't realized that it has been over a month since I posted anything. Hope you didn't think I fell off the face of the earth. Goodness it has been a busy 6 weeks!
After getting back from San Francisco I had to get ready for the twins club garage sale. It is not your typical garage sale. We sell everything under the sun for kids and babies. This sale we had a record 70+ sellers. It was a busy weekend, but very fun. After that crazy weekend my Father came to visit for a week and it was my last week as an Applebee's employee. That brought with it lunches, happy hours and lots of good-byes. I was a little sad, but with the way things have headed I'm glad I was able to get out and have them pay me to do it.
In the middle of everything I also started working as an independent contractor for a company called BigTent. I love working for them and have had lots of fun working from home. It has been an adjustment. But I'm all settled in and like the fact that I don't have to sit in traffic! The contract was only supposed to be for 4 weeks. But we are at the end of week 6 and I will have at least 3 more before I'm done. I am so thankful for this opportunity and glad that, even though temporary, I was able to find some work.
October has been filled with busy weekends for the family. We went to the Applefest up in Weston, Missouri, with friends. We celebrated all of our October birthdays with the family and Avary and I spent this pasted weekend in Omaha seeing family and friends.
The kids are growing, talking our ears off and Avary is reading more and more everyday. I'm amazed by them all. They are excited to dress up tomorrow and have been practicing their "trick or treat" and "thank you". Hopefully they'll actually say something when they get to our neighbor's houses. The weather is supposed to be a beautiful 70 degrees tomorrow. So it should be a fun night.
