Holiday Card Bloopers

Today was beautiful - 56 degrees, sun shinning - so I decided to try and take the kids out for a holiday card shoot. Well 120 shots later and I didn't get what I wanted. A little frustrated, I tried bribes like "we'll go get ice cream when we are done", but it didn't work. The boy was in a mood. Oh well, maybe this is what the card should look like. It seems to be my life. I'm thankful for my kids, even if I can't get them to move in the same direction sometimes.

Since using my new digital card I realized that I hadn't been taking too many videos of the kids.  The other night they kept singing songs during bath and bedtime.  So I pull out the old camera and took a view videos.  Kids are so silly - I have quite a few out takes - but here are a few of the fun ones.

Halloween

We could not have asked for better weather for halloween. No rain, no snow, just beautiful weather. A very slight chill in the air, but not enough to require the kids to wear their coats.

The kids were VERY excited for the day. From the time they woke up they asked to put on their costumes. Needless to say they jumped for joy when we said it was time to get dressed.

This was the first year that all of them wanted to actually go from house to house. I think we went to about 6 or 7 of our neighbors. Then the kids sat on the front porch with their Dad and helped with handing out candy. They said "trick or treat" like pros and even remembered to say thank you every now and then.

I will treasure the fun we had and look forward to the many years of fun dress up that we have to come. Hope everyone else had a great halloween!
